Superior workmanship is the hallmark of authentic Chanel bags. Fake Chanel bags are easily identified by a number of instant give-a-ways.  Really heavy quilting is a big red flag screaming buyers beware! 

Other tell tale signs are uneven stitching and an irregular shaped back flap pocket with the diamond quilting improperly aligned. Particular points to note are the interlocking C’s inside the inner flap. Authentic Chanel bags are stitched, while in fake Chanel bags they are either too skinny or too fat and flat. Also the back side of an authentic Chanel bag of the CC clasp shows two screws and CHANEL/PARIS engraving. There is also engraving on the snap button.

If you are buying a Chanel classic online or from a reseller you should always make sure get a proper view of the front back and flap…or just go to  u-wantit.com and bid for the real thing!
